Football and Cheerleading signups will be ending very shortly for most clubs. I have updated several directory pages over the last few days with signup information I found in the Chronicle or by making phone calls.

Unfortunately, some clubs only promote their programs by handing out flyers at the end of school; most of which never make it out of the bottoms of the backpacks they were stuffed into.

Be sure to find your area club on the football directory page here: http://www.muskegonyouthsports.com/component/option,com_bookmarks/Itemid,1/catid,6/

For those of you in the Lakeside area, you will be happy to see that I have provided them with a new web site and published the registration form and signup details. If any other clubs want a site, just let me know by clicking on the "contact" link in the main menu.

I find it hard to believe there is so little available about BMX on the web. I know most kids are riding trick bikes in vert parks these days, but surely there must still be some dirt tracks around?

Does anyone have any info on BMX in general for the Muskegon area that they can share?

Sorry, I don't have any info on the OV program.

I have learned that information about area programs is hard to come by. If you have found anything out, please feel free to share it here.

Late registrations will be accepted on the first day of practice starting at 6:00pm.

Details:

Date: Monday, August 6, 2007
Time: 6:00 pm
Location:
Fruitport - Farr Field

Please keep checking this site over the next week for more information. I hope to have a registration form available for download that will also include more details.

The league rules prohibit contact during the first 10 hours of practice so the first week is used for conditioning only. Cleats and helmets are usually required during conditioning and players are advised to bring a supply of water.

Registration for recreational soccer for the upcoming fall season are probably now being accepted by most clubs. The deadline for registration will most likely be around the third week of July. I will try to gather the information for the local clubs and post it here.

Player wanting to tryout for select teams should contact the clubs they are interested in as tryouts are most likely scheduled for sometime in June.

Signups for most area youth football programs run between early June and late July. Although some clubs might accept registrations in early August, most have deadlines of July 25 or earlier.

I will do my best to obtain the information for programs that do not have their own web sites, such as Lakeside, Port City, East Muskegon, Orchard View and Oakridge. Since I manage the sites for the Laketon and Mona Shores programs, I will surely publish the information here as soon as it is made available for me to pubish on their sites.
